India jumps 14 places higher at the World Bank Ease of Doing Business Ranking

India had recently jumped by 14 places to rank 63 in the World Bank Ease of Doing Business ranking. Our Director Mr. Rakesh Reddy discusses how the residential real-estate sector has affected the rankings, that include:
- Implementation of Government Policies like RERA, that avoids any builder-buyer disputes and protects the interests of home-buyers.
- The reduction of GST on under-development projects makes properties relatively affordable, encouraging more sales.
- Real Estate being the second largest employing sector in India and its recent growth.
Mr. Rakesh Reddy further states that despite the policy changes, there is a prime requirement of capitalizing the growth momentum in this sector for accelerated overall growth.
