How is the Realty Sector coping with the odds of COVID-19?

Rakesh Reddy, Director, Aparna Constructions, For Estrade

The Coronavirus Pandemic has halted the movement of professional workers which has caused a slowdown in all the sectors. But the Realty Sector has observed a relatively less impact. As Aparna Group continues to overcome this situation, Our Director, Mr. Rakesh Reddy shares his insights on the same during a recent chat with Estrade. He talks about the following:

  • Impact on the Business: Until the beginning of lockdown, there was no major change in the sales of properties. However, the visits to sites have stopped, which is crucial for a customer in the process of making a decision. The construction activities are also paused temporarily. This has resulted in a temporary slowdown of the market.
  • Digital Transformation amidst the Lockdown: As social distancing is being observed to contain the spread of this disease, the teams at Aparna Group have resorted to virtual workspaces. Being equipped with a strong IT infrastructure has helped to accommodate this, and gives an opportunity to incorporate the same post lockdown.
  • Aiding the Local Communities: Aparna has always looked at the larger well-being of the society, without this pandemic being an exception. Raising funds worth 5 crore rupees for the government has helped aid the challenges faced by those in need. Further, Aparna Group has taken steps to ensure the safety and hygiene of the workers at the construction sites.

Mr. Rakesh Reddy expresses that this global pandemic has to be dealt with by following all the Government Advisories. To know more about what he has to say, read the full article here:
